You hear alot about strength or core training helping with running. To be honest I avoid all such exercises, I did a little bit before Tough Mudder last year and promptly neglected it.

It’s time to put a stake in the ground. My aim is to do this once a day, the entire routine should take 10 minutes max and judging on last time I should start seeing a difference in 10-20 days.

Today I did this:

  • 10x Press up – ok
  • 10x Sit up – awful, did about 6 and not very good quality
  • 10x Dips – easy
  • 10x Squats – easy
  • 30 second Plank – tricky but ok
  • 20x Mountain Climbers – ok
  • 2x chin ups (poor)

All repeated twice.
