With under two weeks to go to the Cambridge Half Marathon I have decided to cut out something from my diet. I often do this as a method of encouragement. “Athlete Mode” as I like to call it.

Last time it was KFC, and I dreamed about KFC all through my Half Marathon and gorged myself immediately afterwards.

This time, it’s my weakness … Kit Kat. Over the past few weeks I have been eating a minimum of 1 (four-stick) pack right the way up to 3 packs. No more.

For the next two weeks I will be a chocolate free athlete.
